Flower Council of Holland

The organisation

The Flower Council of Holland is a not-for-profit organisation with an executive committee and advisory council. The advisory council, which meets four times a year, advises the management team on marketing strategies and issues. Marketing and account operations form the core of the Flower Council of Holland’s activities.

Marketing develops strategic routes for consumer marketing and links this into the various sales channels (such as florists, supermarkets and garden centres). The Project Office, which is part of the Marketing Department, specialises in specific product promotion schemes, in collaboration with other organisations within the sector.

Account Operations manages collaborations with trading partners within the sector and in retail channels.

The organisation also has Finance, Corporate Communications and HR departments, with around 35 people working at the head office in Leiden. We also have offices in Düsseldorf and Paris, with a total of eight employees who are part of the Account Operations department.
